Security Officer Job Summary:

• Monitoring staff and contractor/vendor traffic Must greet everyone in a friendly and professional manner
• Ensuring sign-in and sign-out procedures are complied with appropriately.
• Answers and screens incoming calls and directs to the appropriate staff and/or area

· Security Officer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining all required security documentation, which will be provided at the beginning of the period of performance may include:

• Access and Exit Logs
• Incident Report Logs
• Inspection and Damage Reports for both vehicles and property Intervene with non-lethal, passive means in the event of an incident.
• Provide active shooter and other types of training applicable to security related practices.

Security Officer Qualifications:

· Any guard provided must have a minimum of one year experience as a security officer one year years’ experience in a branch of law enforcement or other type of protective service.

· The guards must be trained for and capable of handling any and all incidents in a legal and professional manner.

• Must be in complete uniform and well-groomed at all times.
• Abide by all ordinances and regulations pertaining to the Job Corps CCC’s operation and secure all required licenses and permits;
• Being on time and reliable.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or experience required. • Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
