Job Title: Security Guard

Location: Gardena, CA

Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable and experienced security guard to join our team at our casino in Gardena, CA. The Security Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and guests. This is a fully standing post position with a 30-minute lunch break and two 10-minute breaks. The guard will be posted inside the casino, checking employee badges, visitor identification cards, or post within the casino observing and reporting anything out of the usual to the in-house armed security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor casino floors and ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, and guests.
• Check employee badges and visitor identification cards to ensure the authorized access to restricted areas.
• Patrol the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, fire, or other disturbances.
• Report any suspicious behavior, unusual incidents or accidents to the in-house armed security and management.
• Follow directions of the post supervisor and perform all duties as assigned.
• Remain alert and focused during the entire shift.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in the security industry, preferably in a casino environment.
• Possess a valid California Security Guard Card.
• Ability to stand for long periods, and perform walking patrols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to follow directions and take corrective action when necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
