AG innovation has an immediate job opening for a senior Controls Engineer who is looking for a long-term and exciting career opportunity with considerable growth. AG is looking for highly motivated and experienced individuals with the integrity and drive to be part of an active team. AG is looking for individuals who have experience in wide range of Industrial Automation equipment ranging from simple vision assembly stations to fully functioning automation cells. Our recent growth has necessitated the need for additional personnel.

Individuals must be reliable, hardworking, and have minimum of 10 years’ experience in the trade or co-op program

Requirements/Qualifications for Controls Engineers:

• Commission equipment on the manufacturing floor and follow equipment to the customer’s facility which includes start-up, debug, and assist in customer buy off of equipment support system launch at the customer facility.
• Improve cycle time and throughput by adjusting tooling or PLC functions.
• Establish communications to PLC, robots, and external equipment devices.
• Applicant must have the ability to write a program from scratch.
• CAD or Design experience for electrical and pneumatic drawings (AutoCAD, Solid works, etc.)
• Must have some knowledge of vision systems or vision cameras/barcode readers (Keyence, Cognix, Sensopart, Banner, Etc.)
• Previous education or training with programming languages. Ladder logic/PLC is most ideal, but object-oriented programming experience is acceptable.
• Proficient with a variety of field bus networks including but not limited to DeviceNet, Ethernet I/P, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc. a plus.
• Ability to perform electrical diagnosis, recommend repair or repair as needed.
• Keeping updated on new field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of robotics and the ability to touch up points or edit programs is a plus. But not required
• Candidates must have effective communication between electricians, machine builders and management to keep flow of project maintained.
• Willingness to learn and train on new systems. Candidate should also enjoy programming because it is an essential function of the role.
• Good attitude, team player, able to work independently, and willing to go the extra mile.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

• Ability to work in team environments.
• Must be able and willing to travel and work on or off shift.
• Must display excellent attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $48.00 per hour
