We are looking for a passionate Firmware Engineer to design, develop and install high quality, innovative and fully performing software solutions that comply with coding standards and technical design.

Firmware Engineer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code predominately in the C language for embedded systems. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
• Write well-designed, testable code
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Ensure software is updated with latest features

Requirements and skills

• 5+ Years of Engineering Experience
• Proven work experience as a Software / Firmware Engineer.
• C language expert with a focus on embedded systems.
• Strong embedded system debugging skills (Debugger / Serial Logging).
• Basic understanding of electronics and the ability to interpret an electrical schematic.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy technologies.
• Familiarity revision control systems (GIT).
• Working knowledge of the Mobile Device App development cycle.
• Basic operating system scripting (BAT / BASH).
• The ideal candidate will possess a natural instinct to incrementally document and test their code during the development cycle.
• Ability to document product requirements and specifications
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

The successful candidate will work directly with design, mechanical and electrical engineering and report to the Operations Manager. Remote work is available for this position; however, the ideal candidate must be able to physically be in our Windsor, Colorado office monthly if not weekly depending on project stages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
