Cox Automotive Data Solutions is hiring a Senior Product Owner to join the Vehicle Marketplace Insights team. This team is responsible for creating and managing strategic data products, such as data sets and APIs, that are built by combining and cleansing data from multiple parts of Cox Automotive. These data products are used by Data Analysts/Scientists/Product teams to produce data-driven insights that power products across the Cox Automotive landscape.
The Senior Product Owner role will be responsible for data products focused on logistics including understanding underlying source data used in their data products, drive enhancements to their products, and own the business and technical logic definitions of their product. This position involves frequent cross-functional engagement with team members across the organization including Data Scientists and other technology teams.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with an engineering team focused on delivering a strategic data product that is leveraged internally within the company.
- Partner with customers to understand needs and execute on value-added work to increase richness and usability of our data products.
- Serve as the "voice of the customer" to the delivery team by representing and reinforcing the customer's perspective throughout product realization cycles.
- Partner with a cross-functional team of analysts, architects, developers, testers, and others to develop and execute against product roadmaps and release plans.
- Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
- Collaborate with Release Train Product Leader to prioritize and maintain the product roadmap.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with subject matter experts, analysts, data scientists, and technology teams across Cox Automotive in order to support our data products.
- Break down features into detailed stories consumable and testable by an agile team.
- Accept and review completed stories with a focus on product quality.
- Communicate release notes and product news and demo product changes to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; 4 years of experience in related field (i.e., data and analytics, product and/or product management, IT).
- 4 years of experience in Product Owner, Data Analyst, or Business Analyst role.
- Experience working with engineering teams focused on big data and/or cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to be a highly functioning team member and work on initiatives that require cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinker with an open mind to learn and explore new areas and to develop and recommend opportunities and solutions.
- Strong ability to give clear and consistent instructions to team members, and to lead, motivate, and supervise project and/or working teams.
- Proven ability to scope technical requirements for delivering measurement/analytics plans and products.
- 10%+ time travel requirement.
Desirable:
- Experience in the automotive space.
- Experience working in the transportation and logistics industry
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Proficient in writing SQL and querying data.
