Great opportunity to join an award winning, rapidly expanding healthcare company based in Dallas-Ft Worth with locations throughout Texas, as well as in California, Colorado, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. This full-time position is located at our converted specialty pharmacy in Tarzana, CA. Hours are M-F 9AM-5PM PT.

The Specialty Program at Paragon Healthcare helps lead clinical programs and manage the fulfillment of specialty therapies throughout the company. Specific programs and implementation include activities such as drug inventory, drug dispensing, protocol development, audit preparation, and patient care initiatives. Therapies are focused on rare diseases and offer an opportunity to expand clinical knowledge through processing of orphan drugs/products.

The Specialty Program Pharmacist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Ensure that the pharmacy is following all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy through coordinating all aspects of accreditation and compliance as related to specialty pharmacy, including audits and accreditation visits.
• Oversee day to day operations of specialty pharmacy
• Responsible for implementing training programs pertaining to preparation, dispensing, and record keeping of new therapies
• Subject matter expert in specialty therapies and serve as resource for interdisciplinary team throughout the company.
• Collaborate with managed care and informatics team to develop specialty pharmacy data outcomes required for payor performance guarantees.

Education/Experience/Licensing:

• PharmD or B.S. from accredited college of Pharmacy
• Active state licensure (California State Board of Pharmacy) with no disciplinary action

Required Skills:

• Baseline proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PP, etc.)
• Self-motivating individual with a strong desire to increase clinical knowledge
• Strong leadership skills allowing for increasing team cohesiveness and development.
