Sciarabba Walker & Co., LLP is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking candidate for our open Sr. Outsourced Accounting Associate position. Outsourced accounting is a flexible, cost-effective way to address the ever-changing operational needs of many organizations. Our team is comprised of highly-skilled professionals with the experience needed to provide the most effective and efficient accounting support to our clients.

The candidate will be responsible for providing bookkeeping services to our clients which include but are not limited to payroll, A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations and a wide range of financial reports.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage relationships for assigned clients - nature and level of bookkeeping services required weekly, monthly and annually will be dictated by each client engagement.
• Provide bookkeeping support to client bookkeepers
• Research sales tax issues for clients.
• Set up a new bookkeeping system for client and provide training
• Prepare respones to payroll and sales tax notices.
• Be able to read and understand financial statements and explain to clients
• Reviewing and recording monthly transactions, performing reconciliations, preparing monthly closing entries
• Assisting with payroll processing
• Maintain positive client relationships and work with the department to support new client development

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years experience in accounting and GAAP
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks desktop and online versions
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrated history of reliability and ability to maintain client confidentiality
