Purpose of Position:
The Senior Tax Accountant will assist the tax manager will all tax matters of the Company, including tax compliance and planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, including data collection, workpaper preparation, issue analysis, tax estimates, and extensions, return preparation and filing, tax payments, and audit defense.
• Assist with preparation of ASC 740 Financial Reporting for Income Taxes (provision) on a quarterly and annual basis, including calculating the effective tax rate, calculating the tax provision and DTAs/DTLs, evaluating the appropriateness of valuation allowances, forecasting, and journal entries.
• Responsible for sales/use, gross receipt, property, and unclaimed tax compliance and audits.
• Responsible for 1099 information return compliance.
• Respond to correspondence from taxing authorities for all tax types.
• Stay abreast of U.S. Internal Revenue Code and state tax regulation changes and procedures.
• Assist with tax research and ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical, project management, and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer-related skills and accounting systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education/Experience:

• Master’s degree in accounting or taxation or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in tax required
• CPA license preferred
