·A growing and prominent structural steel fabricator in the Midwest has an opening for a Senior Structural Steel Estimator to be part of the team in our St. Louis area location. Responsibilities

• Work with representatives and customers to prepare estimates and quotations and follow up on leads to secure orders. Develop customer relationships necessary to drive and increase sales.
• Use internal and external resources to obtain accurate material prices and vendor quotes.
• Skilled at reading and interpreting design drawings in the form of PDF or CAD.
• Review and incorporate historical data from pervious purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity to accurately prepare quotes.
• Ability to identify items outside of our shop capabilities that may need to be outsourced or excluded.

Ability to write RFI’s in a clear logical and timely manner to facilitate a complete and accurate estimate.

• Work with project management following a successful bid, to ensure an accurate transferring of information and defining of scope, including revisions, additions, and deletions.
• Work with operations to resolve engineering and/or manufacturing questions that arise for projects under management; escalate issues to the appropriate level of management for prompt resolution.
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, and production times.
• Provide explanations of deviations in actual performance to projected performance for each job under management.
• Work with customers to develop their design requirements for future projects.
• Uphold compliance and quality standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
