Classification: Temporary - Allows for temporary certification in an emergency nurse aide capacity but will not result in permanent nurse aide status and will not result in inclusion on the Nurse Aide Registry.
Job Summary: The COVID-19 Temporary Nurse Aide is a temporary position intended to address the current state of emergency.
Job Duties
The position of COVID-19 Temporary Nurse Aide includes the following duties:
- Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living including:
Bathing
Oral Care
Grooming - Shaving and Nail Care
Dressing and Undressing
Following infection control and prevention according to facility policy.
Providing positioning, moving, and restorative care according to facility policy
Assisting with nutrition and elimination according to facility policy.
Assisting with and/or providing comfort care and end of life care according to facility policy
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of temporary training program including, at a minimum, evidence of successful completion of the online exam following the 8-hour training
- Has no history of abuse, neglect and exploitation or misappropriation of funds of an older adult.
