Job Summary:

Do you hope to work in video production once you graduate from school? Join our team as a video production intern and put your creative skills to work in multiple areas of the production process. The Exist Media Intern has responsibilities in filming and often editing raw videos into a final product for a range of clients. This role also offers the intern a total immersion into the industry of wedding videography as the summer months heavily consist of wedding projects. The candidate will work closely with key members of staff, external media professionals, and the agency’s clients. The candidate will learn about the full process of running a small house production company. This role will be instrumental in increasing our production of editing projects in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

Editing

• Produce and edit video content that adheres to company guidelines and standards to share on online channels, including social media and YouTube.
• Creating project Editors Cuts from raw footage as well as color grading based on company guidelines.
• Understanding of audio mastering with dialogue and sound.
• Perform other duties as requested by staff to ensure all necessary tasks are performed in a proficient manner that adheres to the quality expected from the company.

Filming

• Assist in filming weddings mainly as a second shooter capturing all moments throughout the day. The opportunity to lead a wedding is dependent on progress.
• Understanding of camera settings and how to change them with varying environments.
• Assist in some commercial projects on set as pa/bts and possible opportunities to camera operate.
• Need to be open to working 6-8 Saturdays throughout the summer.
• Awareness of how to use the company equipment including lighting, audio, and cameras.

Jobs Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:

• Enrolled from an accredited college or university (with the ability to receive credit)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Preimere Pro CC
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 40 pounds regularly
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds
• The ability to work in extreme weather
• The ability to stand for up to 12 hours

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
