LIVE-IN CAREGIVER I -III (A "SHIFT" IS 24 HRS) (STAFF ROOM PROVIDED)

Alaska Premier Assisted Living, LLC (APAL) has an opening for a new team member! APAL is a small agency in Anchorage, AK and we operate like a family. We provided the best care for our residents and offer our employee’s advancement and room to grow within our company! We are looking for an outgoing, compassionate, caring, responsible, motivated, and FUN individual to join our team.

(Our current opening is Live In Caregiver for - INDEPENDENT RESIDENTS in a Group Home) Live-in position(s) consists of one 24-hour shift and WILL consist of multiple days.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the resident in activities of daily living: cleaning, maintaining the home, preparing meals, shopping, community outings, etc..
• Provide a clean, safe, healthy environment for the resident
• Assist with Self-Administration of Medications
• Participate in continuing education required
• Complete daily case notes of services in a timely manner
• Assist with Admin Duties as needed

Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License (required)
• Good Driving History (required)
• Must be 18 years or older(required)
• Must PASS background check with SOA (required)

Additionally:

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and cognitive disabilities (preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
• Career Growth offered

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Direct Care: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)
• Speak and Understands English (Required)

License/Certification:

• Good Driving History/Record within 3+ yrs (Required)
• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• First Aid & CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Able to Pass A Background Check State/Federal (Required)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Required)
• Night Shift (Required)
• Overnight Shift (Required)
