Job Description :

We are seeking an Assistant Research professor. The ideal candidate must have worked in and is still working in GI Oncology.

This candidate should have be 5-10 years from graduating with a related PhD. Ideally this would be in immunology and oncology research as it relates to biomarkers and immunoassays. After completing their post-doc THEY MUST HAVE WORKED IN (AND ARE STILL WORKING IN) GI ONCOLOGY.

This is an ideal position for someone who is not quite ready to be a PI or professor, but on the way to that goal.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Devise, plan, document and advance basic science and translational projects in the relevant research area.
  • Generate data for grant applications and prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Work in close collaboration with the PI and other team members and external collaborators, including presentation of progress internally or externally.
  • Train and supervise multiple post-doctoral fellows and technical staff.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • 10 years Research Experience
  • Experience in GI Oncology
  • PhD and/or MD/PhD
  • Evidence of first or senior author peer-reviewed publications
  • Prior molecular, cancer biology and/or translational research experience and evidence of project development
  • Prior evidence for any obtaining any grant funding and plans for seeking extramural grant funding within 1-3 years of joining.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
