Ada Developers Academy is a non-profit, tuition-free coding school for women and gender expansive adults. We focus on serving Black, Latine, Indigenous, and Pacific Islander communities, low-income people, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our program consists of two highly immersive parts: six months of focused instruction, and five months of internship at partner companies, where students refine their skills working on real-world code.
About this position
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with proven success in B2B business development and sales. This position will be responsible for driving revenue by initiating and developing our corporate relationships and partnerships that allow Ada to grow, scale, and change lives. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, sales-driven, goals-driven, passionate about the Ada mission, and comfortable working remotely.
This is a remote*, full-time position (40 hours per week), with a base salary range of $95,000 to $105,000 annually (DOE) plus excellent benefits. This position is also eligible for incentive based compensation.
Core responsibilities
Execute all phases of sales cycle from business development to deal closure through direct and personal outbound effort using CRM tools and self-generated lead techniques.
Meet or exceed revenue objectives by building and maintaining a deep sales pipeline of both new and existing partnerships, with an emphasis on recurring future business.
Prepare and deliver presentations and drive the development and closing of sales proposals with a consultative approach.
Propose, deliver, and manage Program Agreements from start to finish, working with stakeholders, as necessary.
Maintain and build rapport with client stakeholders to develop strong, long-term relationships that align with the Ada mission.
Effectively partner and work across the client support teams to ensure a seamless experience for new accounts and sales.
Maintain a deep understanding of Ada’s offerings and how Ada can partner best with our clients on an ongoing basis.
This is not a comprehensive list of duties and may be asked to take on other strategic and tactical tasks, as needed.
Essential qualifications
3 - 5 years proven success in a B2B Business Development, Inside Sales, or Corporate Engagement role.
Experience in the field of technical recruiting is a plus but not required.
Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and LeadIQ is a plus but not required.
Confidence in presenting to and selling in both 1:1 and 1:many situations.
Demonstrated drive, grit and team-oriented — strong desire to reach goals and achieve results.
Highly organized with stellar follow-up and comfortable juggling multiple priorities, activities, and deadlines.
Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation.
Entrepreneurial drive — you thrive being part of a small team and enjoy rapidly iterating on strategy and tactics that can unlock opportunities to get the job done.
