Our Kinston office is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to; checking patients in and out of the clinical area, obtaining vital signs, verifying patient medications, giving injections, scheduling referral appointments, assisting with answering the phone, providing direct patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN), implement care plans developed by the RN and/or by any person authorized by law in NC to prescribe a plan of care and assisting the providers and nursing staff as needed. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can multi-task and be a team player in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation is needed since travel to additional sites may sometimes be required.

This individual should have excellent communication skills, strong people skills, be familiar with medical terminology, be detail oriented, have strong critical thinking skills and have excellent computer skills. Individuals who have worked with Allscripts, Acumen 2.0, or similar EHR is preferred. COVID vaccination required. Certification is required for this Medical Assistant position.
