Overview:
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity to support the DHS CISA CSRB. The CSRB was established pursuant to the Executive Order 14028 on “Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity.” The team primarily supports the Stakeholder Engagement Division of CISA and its work in support of the administration of the Cyber Safety Review Board. The team shall assist the Government with strategy formulation, policy development, performance and project management, and technical support that SED requires to protect the homeland.

All positions will be required to work at least 1-2 days per week in the Arlington, VA office. Where telecommuting is approved, it will only be allowed from within the DC Metro commuting region.

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides research and analytical support to assist in research activities, conducting analysis, and drafting recommendations in support of the Board.
  • Prepares written analysis of cyber incidents and responses related to the Board’s reviews, in support of the Board, to include factual record of events, technical analysis of causes and responses to cyber incidents, and as otherwise required to support the recommendations of the Board.
  • Drafts written summaries of factual and technical findings related to cyber incidents and responses related to the Board’s reviews.
  • Supports the production of interim, draft, and final reports, to include a public report and any private report. This includes but not limited to draft outlines, annotations, and report templates, and assist in pulling together all recommendations into the report format for final board review.
  • Conducts background research and analysis in support of Board activities, to include consolidation, analysis, and/or editing of technical materials such as reports of research findings, technical articles, news releases, standard operating procedures, guidance documents, and regulations.
  • Develops informational products for internal and external stakeholders in the form of fact sheets, reports, memos, and recommendations.
  • Assists in management support activities to include consolidation and deconfliction of inputs, quality control of responses, technical editing, and correction of products.
  • Assists in development of briefings for internal and external audiences, ensuring information is appropriate and in compliance with the current guidelines and policies and perform quality control to include editing documents for grammar, format, and content.
  • Assists in drafting material for outreach and communication products of publicly available reports and recommendations. Support may include researching key stakeholders, trade associations or government partners; assessing key issues relevant to participating government and industry stakeholders; and developing presentations and marketing products.
  • Assist in the planning and conducting necessary activities to engage the private sector and all levels of government in the execution of a study.
Qualifications:
Clearance Required: Support Analysts will require DHS Fitness. Lead Analyst will require TS/SCI.

Degree and Years of Experience:
Several positions are available, ranging from an Associate’s degree with 4 years through a Lead position with a Bachelor’s degree and 6-8 years of experience.

Required Skills:
  • The Lead Cyber Research Analyst will have experience reviewing work products and overseeing the development of Cyber deliverables, documentation, and reporting.
  • Experience conducting analysis on cyber security requirements for information technology networks, systems, and applications.
  • Experience assessing and researching policies and procedures that satisfy enterprise-wide information security requirements based on government and commercial requirements.
  • Experience assessing and researching solutions that meet industry standards.
  • Experience assessing and researching information assurance documentation; including system security plans, security policies, test and evaluation, incident response, disaster recovery, contingency plan, insider threat, and other security related plans.
  • Shall be proficient in common applications, such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Experience supporting VIP Customers and working in a fast-paced high demand environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
