Deck Ambassadors are the face of our operation and the main customer service component. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Enthusiastic, warm, but assertive personality who really loves talking to people and developing positive, friendly relationships
• Effectively communicate with customers and children
• An understanding of the importance of sticking to a good structure and a willingness to enforce essential safety procedures and policies in a fun and gentle manner
• The ability to multi-task and not lose your sense of fun
• A genuine desire to help us decrease drowning for both children and adults

Roles and Responsibilities

• Reports to and communicates directly with Owner and/or Aquatics Director
• Be present and correctly dressed in British Swim School uniform at least 30 minutes before the start of the first lesson of the day
• Create positive first impressions and facilitate appropriate orientation for new families
• Ensure proper set-up, maintenance, and break down of on-site marketing and merchandise
• Clear, clean, and organize all supplies at the end of every shift
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, displayed properly, and operate point of sale (POS)
• Check students in for swim class and to ensure that children are placed with the proper instructor
• Facilitate promotions correctly with photographs, proper take-home materials, celebrate birthdays, and milestones appropriately
• Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested
• Answer all customer questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure that all areas of the pool deck are kept safe and clean, and all pool safety regulations, policies and procedures are being always followed.
• Document and report accidents and injuries to supervisor as soon as possible
• Check all water quality, temperature, and chemical levels prior to first scheduled class of the day and rechecked periodically

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Compensation and Benefits

• $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule

• Shifts will occur mostly in the afternoons on Weekdays and in the mornings on Weekends
• Shifts are often 5 to 6 hours in length
