Director of Data Services

Momentum3 is looking for an experienced data professional who will lead the data department while working on various client projects for our company. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead a team in processes like data warehouse creation, integration work, reporting solutions or a myriad of other client challenges that need a data solution. Work will be done both remotely and on-site both in the Tulsa area and nationally.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner and engage with businesses leaders to understand and align their data needs with future direction

• Lead data explorations, evaluations, pilots, and proof of concept efforts, assessing and quantifying the potential benefits for emerging data investments

• Support business and enterprise by fostering open communication and active collaboration

• Represent business needs through innovation by becoming a trusted advisor and thought leader to customers at all levels

• Liaison between the business and 3rd party vendors

• Build appropriate partnerships and strategic relationships with external companies

• Drive change in current processes to improve overall operational efficiency

• Managing compliance requirements, security evaluations, and ensure appropriate data governance requirements have been met

• Understand and can clearly communicate business functions, processes, and overall business strategies

Preferred Experience

• Experience in building/architecting enterprise data models and data analytics

• Develop tabular, multidimensional models compatible to Azure SQL warehouse standards with Analysis Services

• Experience working with data gateway, data integration, self-service data preparation

• Develop, publish, schedule reports and dashboards to meet business requirements

• Assist business users on functional and data requirements to enhance data models

• Experience in requirement analysis, design, and prototyping

• Strong understanding of Power BI application security layer model

• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques for large scale BI initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Business, or equivalent education

• 4+ years architecting and supporting the development of Business Intelligence solutions required

• Demonstrated intermediate interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Advanced problem solving and decision-making skills

• 2+ years Microsoft Power BI experience

• 2+ years ETL

• 3+ years working experience in data warehousing or data analytics/visualization projects

• 3+ years experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI)

• 5+ years experience with SQL

• 2+ years experience with MS Azure preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
