Kootenai health is in search for a new Director, Supply Chain Operations to join our team!

As the Director, Supply Chain Operations you will oversee the organization's supply chain activities for all medical and non-medical supplies, services, and capital expenditures critical to the delivery of care.

Responsibilities:

• Engages in sensitive negotiations for critical and high value items
• Responsible for the system’s distribution network to minimize obsolescence or expiration, and ensure high service levels
• Controls, measures, and regulates efficient inventory
• Directs and oversees contract compliance to ensure value is derived from GPO and organizational stewardship goals
• Facilitates the standardization of products and optimizes supply utilization, and leads the product value analysis and new technology processes through effective collaboration with Physicians and clinicians
• Develops and leads supply chain operational improvement initiatives across the organization
• Directs supply chain technology systems to include product master file, online requisitioning, and EDI
• Develops and implements an asset management strategy that delivers customer requirements, meets financial goals, and aligns with capital planning strategies
• Responsible for staff competencies to ensure patient safety

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, supply chain, healthcare administration, economics or related field required
• Healthcare Supply Chain Operations a MUST
• 3 to 6 years of management experience, preferably in healthcare environment required
• More than 5 years supply chain experience including purchasing, inventory management, distribution operations and procurement. Process improvement experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies or similar
• Current professional certification in Certified Logistics Management (CLM) or Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred
• Demonstrates and applies knowledge of CMS standards and other position related laws and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $134,000.00 - $158,000.00 per year
