POSITION: Dual CreditCoordinator/Advisor

LOCATION: Devils Lake, ND

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a 11-month (July off), full-time, benefitted position.

BACKGROUND CHECK: LRSC does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment.

JOB SUMMARY: Lake Region State College is accepting applications for a Dual Credit Coordinator/Advisor. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and implementation of the dual credit program with ND high schools. This includes the following: managing the full registration process with more than 600 students for all terms, advising students on college classes, recruiting dual credit students to LRSC, and working with faculty to ensure college classes follow policy and procedure. This position is responsible for coordinating travel and outreach to assigned high schools throughout the year as well as meetings with students and/or their families. It is expected that this position will attend relevant educational conferences and present information at conferences when it’s appropriate.

Minimum qualifications include good organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent writing and speaking skills, with an expertise in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Peoplesoft/Oracle and Hobson’s Connect and Blackboard helpful but not required. Working conditions require flexible work hours, including some evenings, weekends, and early morning travel. Background in dual credit, advising, higher education, secondary education, or high school counseling is desired but not required. Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license are required. Extensive travel (40% estimated) with some overnights required during the academic year.

SALARY: $36,800-$40,480 plus excellent benefit package.
