MacDonald Montessori School is a non-profit school for children ages six weeks to eight years old. Our program is a blending of the Montessori Method and the Reggio Emilia Approach. We are looking for teachers (four-year degree in any field), assistant teachers (combination of experience and college credits) or aides (high school graduate) to provide quality care and education, including the arts, (music, drama, movement and dance, painting, drawing, ceramics) for young children.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• To be dependable, punctual, flexible, patient and have a love for children
• To account for and supervise the children in your care at all times
• To interact with children in a warm, friendly manner, and to encourage involvement in activities
• To participate in preparing and maintaining a warm, safe environment that is aesthetically pleasing, orderly clean, and appealing
• To provide basic care and caregiving for children ages 6 weeks through 8 years old
• To be open to learning about non-traditional approaches to education
• Knowledge of Montessori and the Reggio Approach not required
