Job Description

This position, engineering intern, is a part of our internship program designed to continue building the foundation of your career while also evaluating the potential for future employment. This position is intended to facilitate professional development and career growth by exposing you to a variety of real-world scenarios while also providing exceptional mentoring and learning opportunities. At the conclusion of the program, you will receive valuable feedback as well as a potential full-time job opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

· Complete LabVIEW training material (Core 1 & Core 2)

· Collaborate with team members to design and test LabVIEW applications

· Troubleshoot and debug LabVIEW code to identify and resolve issues

· Apply knowledge and new skills relevant to LabVIEW, system development, and related technologies

· Attend and participate in team meetings, SCRUMs, and other professional development opportunities

· Collaborate with broader engineering team to solve problems and successfully complete projects

· Prepare and pass CLAD exam for LabVIEW certification

Qualifications

· 2023 Graduate with a BS. in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or Programming

· LabVIEW Certification (Preferred)

· Understanding of object-oriented programming

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and implement solutions

· Good analytical and create problem solving skills

· Ability to work well within a team environment

Preferred Industry Knowledge

· Experience with real-time data acquisition and instrument control

· Exposure to various communication buses and protocols

· Familiarity with standard diagnostic equipment such as: oscilloscopes, digitizers, and motors

Other Requirements & Information

· A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

· Ability to work in-office full-time in San Diego, CA

· Must be able to lift 5–25-pound objects, 5-10 times per day

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

The California base annual salary or hourly range for this role is currently $16.30 - $25.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and current market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to: job-related skills, relevant education, and certifications. More information regarding our benefits program will be shared during the hiring process.
