Our Engineering Team is at the heart of our Company. We are a high mix, low volume manufacturer of industrial electric heaters and everything we make involves engineering input.

This newly created position will provide Engineering support to all areas of the business. This job would suit someone just starting out in their Engineering career, pursuing an engineering degree or someone that has hands on experience from working in a Manufacturing Facility.

Working closely with the Department Director, you will learn the details of our products and populate engineering details for jobs into our ERP system. This includes building BOMs, using SolidWorks to create drawings and sourcing specialty components as required. In addition, you will provide support to our Sales Team by getting involved in the design of highly custom orders as well as offer technical support to customers, when required.

Being a small, growing company there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in hands-on projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Learn the technical details concerning how our products are built, how they operate and their applications

- Create/amend and improve engineering drawings using SolidWorks

- Create BOMs and routings in our ERP System

- With support, use engineering principles to develop and maintain version control on jobs and documents

- Collaborate with Engineering Team members to help resolve product and manufacturing design issues

- Assist with developing Standard Operating Procedures for quality and manufacturing processes

- Perform final quality checks and electrical testing on our products

- Work on other Engineering Projects as required

Experience

- Certificate or Bachelors in Engineering (completed or pursuing, preferred)

- Engineering experience: 2+ years (preferred)

- Manufacturing experience: 1+ years (preferred)

- Proficient in SolidWorks (required)

- Proficient in Excel (preferred)

- Proficient in ERP Systems (Preferred but not required)
