Nelson's Ace Hardware is a local family owned hardware store in Eagle River. We are currently looking for full and part-time Cashiers to join our team. Our Cashiers act as a point of contact for our customers. Duties include greeting customers, assisting customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, recovering merchandise, cleaning, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Benefits are available for full-time positions. Weekends are required. Pay based on experience.

Job responsibilities:

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service
• Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and maintain all cash at registers
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
• Greet customers as they enter the store and tactfully deal with customer issues that arise

Job Qualifications:

• A commitment to service and customer satisfaction
• Ability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of customers
• Ability to process information and/or merchandise through register system
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
• Detail oriented, multi-tasker, and organized
• Basic mathematic skills
• Prior retail experience is preferred, but not required

Pay: From $12.50 per hour
