We are a new start-up, woman owned and black owned small business in Upstate, NY looking for an experienced Grant Writer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing, writing and submitting grant proposals to opportunities available to our company. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated worker with experience in writing funding proposals. We are seeking a flexible, detail-oriented Grant Writer who is willing to work with colleagues, community members and various partners and stakeholders to establish relationships that will enhance the reputation and outreach of our company and organization.

COMPENSATION:

Our Grant Writer's will be paid on a commission like basis. For every successful grant a Grant Writer obtains, 8-10 percent of that amount will be compensated to that specific Writer for their successful completion of obtaining funding for the company. The first Grant Writer to successfully obtain the awarding of a grant of $30,000 or more from their work will be offered the role of our Grant Writer Manager upon a successful first attempt to be granted funding in order to head that department for Women In Cannabis, LLC!

Responsibilities:

• Be able to write in a clear, concise and correct manner.
• Be able to work under tight deadlines.
• Know the rules, regulations, and standards for successful proposal submissions.
• Learn about the organization's mission and works to ensure that the proposal supports its goals.
• Write clear and grammatical sentences.
• Ensure that all figures and documents are properly cited and referenced.
• Respond promptly to requests for information.
• Demonstrate expertise in writing.

**INDIVIDUALS WITH CRIMINAL BACKGROUNDS THAT WERE CHARGED WITH A MARIJUANA FELONY, THAT NOW QUALIFY FOR THE EXPUNGEMENT PROGRAM IN NEW YORK STATE ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR ANY OPENINGS POSTED BY WOMEN IN CANNABIS, LLC!
