Position Title: Graphic Design Summer Intern (Paid Internship)

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing

Status: Non-Exempt

Position Purpose:

The Graphic Design Internship will provide students hands-on, real-world experience in a challenging environment in the automotive industry. The program will allow the intern the ability to work on meaningful projects over the course of the 10-week program for the summer of 2023.

Essential Job Functions: Graphic Design Interns should be able to complete the following job functions:

• Use design skills to provide solutions to assigned projects
• Assist with photo/video shoots
• Create and edit design files
• Create and edit website articles and other digital marketing material
• Thoroughly proofread printed and digital material, noting spelling/grammatical errors and formatting inconsistencies

Education/Experience:

· Demonstrated understanding of design and photo-editing software

· Microsoft Suite and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) proficiency

· Positive attitude with eagerness and willingness to learn

· Proven success working in a team environment

· Deadline driven

· Ability to manage multiple priorities, shift focus between tasks, and pay attention to details

· Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.

· Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or similar.

· Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship.

· Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.

· Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.

· Must successfully pass pre-employment screening process.

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Environment:

The majority of job responsibilities are performed while seated indoors with little exposure to hazards. Will possibly have some exposure to loud machinery, hazardous material and waste. Some flex hours may be required (must be able to work nights and weekends on a non-routine basis).

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Weekend availability

• Schertz, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)
