Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Service Product Manager, you will be responsible for the execution and management of the overall service concept, supporting material, and pricing during new product development. You will work closely with the R&D project team by providing service requirements, serviceability input, verification and validation testing of both hardware and software. You will also provide the complete service launch package and training to equip all service organizations with the necessary skills, material, and tooling to provide high quality service to our customers around the world. Your responsibilities will also include:
  • Managing the product lifecycle (PLM) for service deliverables from idea generation and business justification to product development and introduction.
  • Developing the Standard Service Products (SSP's) to include installation, maintenance, repair, and contract offerings.
  • Creating service software tools and training programs for remote support and troubleshooting.
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and executing service training for new product introductions.
  • Implementing and managing quote content for the Product Data System (PDS).
  • Establishing service pricing, managing service price lists, and supporting customer care needs to service parts management and quotation assistance.
  • Providing backup for technical support and service training of active products.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelors degree in chemistry or engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product management in a service capacity or in technical support.
  • Must live near Columbia, MD, to work in the office full time.
