Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine, a Portland-based medical professional liability insurance company, seeks a healthcare professional experienced in risk management or patient safety to join its dynamic team. A Risk Manager builds relationships with and provides direct service to our insured hospitals and physicians through telephone consultations, education, and onsite consultations. This position has the potential to be either a hybrid or remote position. There is frequent travel in Northern New England, and limited overnight travel may be necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We invite applicants with the following minimum requirements to apply:

1. Five years of healthcare risk management or patient safety experience.

2. Superior organizational and time management skills.

3. Proficient in developing and delivering educational presentations.

4. Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

5. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s Degree and five years of risk management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Medical professional liability experience or a Master's degree is a plus

Certification in a related field preferred: CPHRM, CPHQ, and CPPS
