JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
A non-exempt clerical position responsible for functions related to employee relations, employment practices, and benefit administration. Responsible for maintaining personnel records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Coordinate and administer health, dental, and 401K plans; disability; flexible spending accounts; COBRA, and personal leaves of absence.
  • Maintains/monitors records of Worker’s Compensation, EEO, ADA, FMLA, unemployment, and other employee claims.
  • Coordinates Resident, student, and extern clinic schedules.
  • Recommends changes to AHI policy, training, and work environment to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Ensures terminated employee data are removed from appropriate employee databases, including insurance/benefits, time/leave data, employee census, and file is moved to inactive status.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred.

EXPERIENCE: One to three years prior Human Resource experience in a health related field with emphasis on employee relations, benefits administration, and policy implementation.
Minimum Alternative Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with five or more years of Human Resource experience with a health care company with 50 or more employees.
CERTIFICATION: SHRM-CP preferred
PAY RANGE: $29-33/hr to start (dependent upon experience)
