Position Summary

Maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices. This position profile identifies the Key Responsibilities and expectations for performance. It cannot encompass all specific job tasks that an employee may be required to perform. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform job-related duties as may be reasonably assigned by his/her supervisor.

Key Performance Areas (Essential Functions of the Position)

  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing interviews; recommending changes.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation training programs
  • Maintains pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal for employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends. Recommending benefit programs to management, directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefits contract bids; designing and conducting educational programs and benefit programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable resources federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing organization at hearings.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Working Conditions

General Office working Environment:

Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. the working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpliant conditions caused by noise, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, read, write and communicate in fluent English. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/ Expected hours of work:

This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with an occasional weekend, unless otherwise notified in advance by supervisor.

Travel Requirements

Frequent travel to local Standlee locations (by vehicle), occasional travel by air as directed.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
