This position is located in Evanston, Illinois


The Impact and Data Coordinator supports mission advancement through coordinating program evaluation strategies and supporting data systems. The position works collaboratively with staff across the organization to consistently implement all evaluation activities, including evaluation planning, data collection, analysis, and produces reports that helps support a data-forward culture; and works with the Director to support data infrastructure.


The position is responsible for implementation of program strategies and coordination of daily activities and contributes recommendations to agency policies, department priorities, and procedures.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Impact Measurement Coordination (65%)

  • Coordinate and monitor data collection for program evaluation efforts
  • Monitor utilization of Salesforce and support data integrity by regularly reviewing missing data reports and supporting teams to enter complete data
  • Create and update data collection tools as needed with Impact and Data Strategy Director
  • Coordinate efforts to support qualitative data collection efforts like interviews and focus groups
  • Analyze and prepare reports of survey data
  • Schedule and help prepare for quarterly evaluation meetings with department staff
  • Assist in developing the agency's annual impact report
  • Assist the development of public grant outcome metrics as requested
  • Support the efforts of department interns

Data Entry, Analysis, and Reporting (30%)

  • Assist in managing data systems and inputting data as needed for timely submission of required reports
  • Assist in analyzing data and working collaboratively with organization leaders to produce data visualizations for use with diverse stakeholders
  • Access and synthesize public data such as U.S. Census, Illinois State Board of Education, Illinois Board of Higher Education, Illinois Community College Board, National Center for Education Statistics, and others
  • Run regular reports from Salesforce
  • Run additional reports as requested and provide outcome data for public and private grant reporting

ADDITIONAL DUTIES (5%)

  • Attends staff trainings and participates in agency committees.
  • Pursues professional development
  • Understands and adheres to all YWCA Evanston/North Shore procedures and policies as well as YWCA Employee Handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a field of study with heavy emphasis on research, writing, and data analysis.

Experience and/or Training:

  • At least one year of experience supporting nonprofit program evaluation strategies including helping set measurable outcomes, developing impact measurement tools, assisting in data collection, and conducting data analysis.

Licenses/Certificates:

  • Successful completion of the Illinois 40-Hour Domestic Violence Certificate Training within 6 months of hire

Technology/Equipment:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel
  • Beginner proficiency in CRM database usage

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate degree in a field of study with heavy emphasis on research, writing, and data analysis.

Experience and/or Training:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience supporting nonprofit program evaluation strategies, including helping set measurable outcomes, developing impact measurement tools, assisting in data collection, and conducting data analysis.
  • Experience using data visualization technology and supporting the production of public materials that tell stories of impact through data visualization
  • Experience running reports from CRM databases
  • Experience supporting race and gender equity program evaluation efforts

Language: Proficiency in Spanish

Licenses/Certificates:

Technology/Equipment:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Salesforce
  • Intermediate proficiency in SPSS, R (or similar statistical software), or advanced proficiency in Excel to perform data analysis

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Intermittent (less than 15%), Occasional (15-45%), Frequent (50-75%), and Continuous (over 75%).

  • Intermittent nights and/or weekends are required for events or meetings
  • Intermittent local travel required
  • Tolerance of prolonged and continuous stationary periods at a desk/computer
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms, and reach above shoulders
  • Occasionally required to push, pull, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to move about the facility
  • Must be able to operate controls for computers and other equipment
