To Qualify for KARE 4 KIDNEYS you'll need...

• Nursing degree from accredited school of nursing.
• Two years' experience as a registered nurse in chronic dialysis setting.
• Requires a Texas RN license
• Provide proof of current completed dialysis RN annual competencies and completed facility orientation.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds, un-assisted, and able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions as required for performing dialysis therapy.
  
• Read, write, speak and understand the English language

Responsibilities of KARE 4 KIDNEYS RNs may include:

• Supervises and performs direct patient care including but not limited to taking and monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and patient treatments, taking and transcription of physician's orders, drawing and documentation of ordered laboratory work.
  
• Analyzes patient assessments, laboratory data and, when concerns are noted, brings issues to the attention of the physician
  
• Provide dialysis therapy, including but not limited to formulating dialysis plan per physician orders, weight, and rate of ultrafiltration, verifying safety measures are in place and complied with, administering medications or other appropriate treatments, discontinuing dialysis according to established procedure, documenting all activity appropriately.

• Instruct patients on pre- and post-dialysis care.
• Administer patient quality care in a considerate, respectful manner.
