Logan Simpson has an opening for a temporary full-time Landscape Design Intern to work a hybrid schedule based out of our downtown office in Tempe, Arizona. This temporary internship is anticipated to start as early as May 2023 and can last between 10-15 months, with flexibility depending on the selected candidate’s availability.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in preparing landscape architectural and construction documents, including conceptual design, graphic design/layouts, and CAD drafting for various planning and design projects, including: parks; streets/highways; urban/civic spaces; educational facilities; and restoration and natural areas.

Position Requires:

• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or closely related field.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent hand and computer-aided graphic design skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to work cooperatively in a team-oriented setting.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions from vaccination may be considered for medical reasons or for a sincerely held religious belief.

Compensation & Benefits:

This full-time position is paid on an hourly basis between $19 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and education.

Due to the temporary status of this internship, this individual would not be eligible for firm-provided benefits other than those required by law such as sick time and unemployment insurance. If the selected intern’s status changes to regular employment in the future after the internship, then they would become eligible for full firm-provided benefits at that time.
