Operations Manager/Marine Industry

We are seeking a marine professional to enhance the operational procedures, systems, and principles in his/her areas of the business. The Operations Manager will oversee the Shipping & Receiving, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory and ERP departments, and will develop and successfully execute processes, reporting, and look for opportunities to increase efficiencies and expand departmental capabilities.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Marine industry preferred.
• Detail-oriented and organizational skills.
• Thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles.
• Budget development.
• Understanding of workflow and ERP system integration.
• Adaptability and able to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly.
• “Big picture” thinking- key to addressing top-level concerns and finding the best path forward.
• Interpersonal skills- Operations Manager must communicate with both executive and staff employees in order to create and administer policy.
• Drive teamwork

Pay: $75K to $95K Based on Qualifications and Experience

Hours: M-F; 8am-5pm (occasional OT may be required)

Recommended Education & Experience:

• Degree in business, industrial, or mechanical engineering required
• 2+ years of experience in marine manufacturing or industrial engineering
• Must be computer literate
• Lean Six Sigma training preferred
• Experience using CAD programs, and related software a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Physical Demands:

• Stand, bend, walk, reach with hands and arms
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Able to work in a teak wood & epoxy manufacturing setting
• Occasionally move or lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
