Premier Transportation is a nationwide Third Party Logistics provider (3PL) with longstanding clients in cities and operations across the country. Among the varied services we provide; Yard Spotter Services are an important chunk to our full footprint.

We have a major, longstanding client location in the greater Savannah market, and we're operating at this (global) retailer's Distribution Center. We provide a multitude of products and services to this client, to include that of Yard Spotter Services virtually 24/7/365. The position to be filled serves as the business and operations leader for this Yard Services operation. The successful candidate will be one with genuine direct business and operations leadership responsibilities and experience within the Transportation, Logistics, Warehouse and / or Distribution environments. Experience in managing Class A CDL drivers and / or having one's own Class A CDL experience will be extremely helpful but not required.

The incumbent will be fully engaged and supportive from start to finish; Recruiting / Selection / Safety & Operations Training / Continuous Oversight / Performance Metrics / Daily Direct Customer Interaction / Equipment Care / Yard Management software program / Point of Contact for all customers at the location / Claims Investigation and Mitigation and more... you must quickly evolve to be the trusted and well-earned position of Subject Matter Expert. Having a Class A CDL will be extremely helpful but not required. In essence, you are the "Owner" of Safety, Service and Profit for this operation.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
