Job Summary

We serve over 16,000 individuals in Seattle/South King County with early learning, youth development, citizenship, employment, health, housing stability, and resource navigation.

Child Development Department staff support the Neighborhood House mission framework and Strategic Plan by contributing to the school readiness of low-income children and supporting their parents, care givers and community. The primary responsibility is to provide the highest quality early childhood education services with the overall goal of building a child's social competency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current CDA (Child Development Credential) from the Council for Professional Recognition or equivalent.
• One year experience working or volunteering with children birth-5.
• Applicants who do not meet education requirements but have experience and a desire to further their education should still apply. While experience cannot take the place of minimum education requirements, in many cases we can hire staff who are still working towards these qualifications. The cost of education expenses is covered for several roles. More details about professional development will be shared during the screening process.
