Job Profile Summary: Assists in driving change to improve patient outcomes, operational workflows, and medication safety through the support and maintenance of informatics systems. Leverages expertise to analyze, design, develop and implement initiatives that support clinical and operational decision making. Uses informatics data to ensure safe, effective, and efficient medication use across the continuum of care. Works in close coordination with pharmacy leadership, information technology, vendors and other stakeholders.
Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

• Assist is operational performance.
  • Researches, develops, and participates in selection of strategies and solutions.
  • Conducts appropriate testing to assure quality.
  • Participates in the design of communication and education resources.
  • Develops tools that streamline and homogenize practice across sites.
• Performs data mining and analysis.
  • Develops reporting and analytic methods to measure, validate, and benchmark results.
  • Manages data from various systems to produce reports and information requested by or of potential value to internal and external departments.
  • Identifies informatics gaps and opportunities for ongoing optimization.
  • Partners with clinicians to identify and facilitate advanced data needs.
• Monitors financial outcomes and profitability.
  • Develops and implements informatics initiatives that maximize the benefit of pharmacy resources.
  • Develops plans for achieving identified outcomes.
  • Completes work within the approved scope, timeline and budget.
• Leads projects.
  • Leads and/or participates in assigned committees and projects to provide expertise in using clinical information and other data to achieve defined goals.
  • Manages assigned pharmacy informatics projects.
  • Leads workgroups and teams to meet objectives, timelines and budget of projects and initiatives.
  • Fosters relationships that support active participation from stakeholders and contributors.
  • Advances consensus & promotes best practices across sites and departments.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required or
• Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Pharmacy required
• Master's degree in Informatics preferred
• Licensed Pharmacist - MN Board of Pharmacy required upon hire
• Licensed Pharmacist - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required upon hire
• Epic Willow Inpatient certification upon hire preferred
• Epic Beacon certification upon hire preferred
• Epic Willow Ambulatory certification upon hire preferred

Additional Job Description:

Job will initially focus on developing supportive analytics and data for a system antibiotics stewardship program. Will evolve over time to support other clinical initiatives.

Position will be primarily remote with occasional in person meetings.
