WARREN GENERAL HOSPITAL IS HIRING A PART-TIME PHLEBOTOMIST. CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO WORK VARIABLE SHIFTS/DAYS.

JOB DUTIES:

• Process written physician laboratory orders involving logging, billing and preparation of laboratory requisitions
• Obtains lab specimens by finger stick, heel stick, venipuncture, swab or other approved techniques
• Instructs patients in the proper procedure for collection or urine or other specimens
• Identifies, labels and distributes specimens to proper department in a timely manner
• Answers telephone-received and delivers messages, schedules appointments as requested by lab supervisor
• Sorts, files and retrieves lab reports
• Performs laboratory tests qualified to do as instructed by supervisor
• Performs sample preparation for referral labs
• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma
• Phlebotomy certification

SCHEDULE:

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift hours
• Weekend availability

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.44 - $19.75 per hour
