PRODUCT ENGINEER

OVERVIEW

Infors USA manufactures and sells instruments for life science and biotechnology research and production. Our products include the industry leading Multitron incubation shakers and bioreactors for cell culture and microbial fermentation. Much of what we have been building in the last year has gone straight to COVID-19 research and production. We are a growing company seeking a Product engineer to become a part of our team here in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

POSITION SUMMARY

This new position will support an innovative team, as well as build and troubleshoot with our manufacturing engineering processes in Maryland and cover the full range of index development.

Responsibilities will include implementation of the new manufacturing system, index methodology documentation, product development, parameter analysis and robustness testing, integration and risk models, and ongoing support for production indices and risk systems. This position will require enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity. The candidate should be interested in brainstorming new ideas and concepts, building technical solutions, and comfortable working with different teams across the organization.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Electrical preferred
• Technical expertise geared to analytics and engineering and manufacturing problem solving
• Technical skills, experience in object-oriented design, comfortable working in different programming languages and knowledge of developing scalable solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, demonstrating initiative and showing commercial impact.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical; Electrical preferred)
• Minimum 7 years experience in high tech
• Experience with electronic design such PCBA, motors, power supplies and cable harnesses
• Experience implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes
• Experience developing and supporting risk systems and failure mode analysis

COMPENSATION & Benefits

• Salary range is 90,000.00 - 100,000.00.
