We're looking for an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in addiction medicine, be able to handle a large caseload and work independently. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are required to screen for psychiatric symptoms and make diagnoses, order diagnostic tests and prescribe medications. A minimum of two years' experience is preferred for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop protocols and treatment plans for patients with a wide range of psychiatric illnesses and substance abuse disorders.
• Perform psychiatric evaluations of patients and write psychiatric prescriptions.
• Provide counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Provide physical health screening services for psychiatric patients.
• Document medical history for patients.
• Manage the treatment of patients with mental illness; treat both physical and mental ailments, prescribe medications, and refer patients to other healthcare professionals as required.
