Position Description: Quality Technician

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for evaluating parts and materials to insure total compliance of customers needs and to support the Quality Management System.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform in-process and final inspection to insure production parts meet print.

Perform First Articles/PPAP inspection documentation.

Maintain part files and documentation.

Perform incoming inspections.

Verify supplier inspection data and certificate of conformances are adequate.

Work with suppliers on resolving discrepant materials issues.

Assist Quality and Engineering on Corrective Actions.

Maintain Quality Assurance office and equipment. Keep all instruments, gauges and equipment clean, calibrated and stored properly.

Support Production on quality and process improvement initiatives.

Assist with maintaining the ISO9001 Quality Management System.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have strong written and oral communication skills suitable for customer and supplier interaction.

2. Associates or Technical discipline preferred.

3. Strong Organizational skills.

4. Recommended 1 - 2 years experience in a quality related capacity in a manufacturing environment.

5. Strong blueprint reading skills.

6. Strong PC skills in Microsoft based programs such as MS Word and MS Excel.

Work Environment

1. Able to lift 50 lbs.

2. Job requires walking, standing and sitting.

3. Be able to use pallet jack.
