Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute (Zuckerman Institute) supports interdisciplinary neuroscience research and discovery by scientists and scholars across the university and promises to be the most comprehensive institute for brain science. Located in a state-of-the-art facility, world-class researchers are brought together to transform our understanding of the brain and mind.

The laboratory of Dr. Grueber at the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute has an open position for a highly motivated Research Staff Assistant to assist working in a cutting-edge neuroscience laboratory. The Research Staff Assistant is to assist work relating to investigating interactions between sensory neurons and resident immune cells in peripheral neuropathy models of Drosophila and mice.

This is a part-time grant funded role.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Autoclave and sterilization of instruments in lab.
• Regular cleaning of laboratory spaces
• Maintain Lab inventory and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  0-3 Months of experience in a research environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must possess sound judgment with a collaborative style that fosters teamwork and cooperation beyond the immediate team to the broader organization.

  Prior experience working within a lab is strongly desired.
