oin our Lovelace Womens Hospital team as a variable shift, full time Security Officer!
This full-time job is located at Lovelace Women’s Hospital, the first and only hospital in New Mexico dedicated to women’s health, offers a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, a natural birthing center, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.
This position requires flexibility as they are a floating full-time Security Officer. They will be covering a variety of shifts, including varying days off.
Responsibilities
Security Officer Job Responsibilities:
- Provides personal, equipment, and property security for assigned area. May provide information, directions, and escort service as needed.
- Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications
Security Officer Education and and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.- Completed security guard training though an approved agency Level I and II or obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Will be certified in taser, baton and handcuffing. Training in de-escalation and patient immobilization.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; Ability to deal with stressful and emergency situations; Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures; Ability to work independently.
- Required to wear Body Armor, taser, baton, and handcuff associated gear while on duty.
- Minimum: One (1) year of related experience
- Desired: Hospital environment
- CPR Certification, desired.
- In order to drive a Lovelace owned vehicle you must possess a valid NM driver’s license on your person, no DUI/DWI within the last five years.
- Must possess a current State of New Mexico Guard Card level II or obtain within 6 months of hire.
