Job Summary
Manages the physical movement of outbound shipments, including shipments to both domestic and international customers, distribution centers, and branches within the organization
Job Responsibilities

• Manages the physical movement of outbound shipments, including shipments to both domestic and international customers, distribution centers, and branches within the organization
• Schedules and coordinates the routing of outgoing shipments
• Proficient/hands on WAWF, DD250, DD1149, and GBL/CBL processing
• Demonstrates understanding of Government Contracting Packaging and Shipping requirements
• Direct work with DCMA Employees
• Negotiates rates, delivery terms, freight rates, and classifications with carriers; analyzes service performance
• Examines and approves payment of bills
• Resolves claims for loss or damage
• Responsible for Packaging and determining best practices for Packaging, including sensitive instrumentation of various sizes
• Maintains Finished Goods and establishes shipping priorities based on customer contract delivery dates
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organizationJob Responsibilities Part II
• Manage UPS, Fed-Express, and freight companies
• Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed, to include weekends and off-Fridays
• Support Receiving and Stockroom functionsQualifications
• Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
• 5 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from management
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Classified clearance or the ability to get clearance
• Experience in a Defense and/or Aerospace environment, preferred
• Experience with Government Furnished Equipment
• Proficient/Hands on WAWF, DD250, DD1149, and GBL/CBL processing
• Experience with Contracts Environment; Flow Downs, Test & Certification requirements, Specifications, and Bids
