Title: Software Engineer

Reports to: Development Manager

Direct Reports: None

Purpose: This position is primarily responsible for participating in all development efforts and related responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Full stack web development to create software solutions for websites and mobile devices
• Document technical specifications for software solutions
• Provide internal technical support to the organization through developer support rotations and as needed
• Performs other activities as assigned

Essential Requirements:

• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience
• EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 years of experience as a full stack web developer
• Strong understanding of Ruby, Python, Java, or other similar languages
• Strong understanding of JavaScript
• Working knowledge of CSS
• Firm understanding of relational databases and SQL with ability to write advanced database queries
• Firm understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, project build tools and automated build processes, and source control
• Excellent interpersonal skills needed to work in a small company environment
• LOCATION: This is a fully remote (work-from home) position. Candidates must be located in the contiguous USA and authorized to work therein.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience using Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks
• Experience building React applications
• Basic knowledge of AWS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
