Solare Collegiate Charter School is a new public charter middle school that opened in 2019 with founding cohorts of 5th and 6th grade scholars. Next year, we are growing to educate scholars in 5th through 8th grade. We are building our team of hardworking, results-oriented educators who embody our mission: to educate scholars, preparing them to excel in high school and college.

We are seeking high-capacity recent college graduates to serve as Solare Collegiate Fellows.

The Solare Collegiate Fellowship is a unique, full-time position that includes teaching courses alongside an experienced teacher. Fellow Members will help implement aspects of school operations. The role is a one-year time commitment, after which candidates may pursue a career in teaching or operations on our team.

Responsibilities

• Implement Solare Collegiate’s classroom competencies to provide a consistently excellent experience

• Participate actively in frequent professional development, and promptly implement coaching feedback

• Take on ad hoc tasks and projects when necessary to support and build a strong school environment

• Provide 10 – 15 hours per week of operational support, as requested by the Operations Team

• Serve as a substitute teacher as required

Competencies & Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor’s degree required; minimum two years of youth development experience preferred

• Strong proficiency in technological tools, including Google Drive

• Capacity and desire to grow every day based on data and feedback

• Willingness to roll up sleeves and take on anything necessary - a “no task is beneath me” attitude

• Positivity and enthusiasm - we are fortunate to do this work and to work with our students

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 per year
