Evoke Behavioral Health is hiring a Special Education Director to oversee the SpEd department and all educational services provided in our Day Treatment Program. Evoke Behavioral Health provides high-quality and data driven behavioral, educational, and mental health services to students diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring diagnoses. Evoke Behavioral Health serves as an alternative placement setting for students from 10+ area school districts.

This position is the right fit for someone looking to advance their career in Special Education and/or work outside of the traditional CDE setting. This position reports directly to the COO and works closely with the Day Treatment Director, Clinical Director, and Mental Health Director. The Special Education Director is the direct supervisor to Teachers, Educational Specialists, and Educational Assistants.

Job Duties:

• Ensures IEP compliance for Day Treatment Program.
• Provides direct supervision and oversight to SPED team.
• Provides direct instruction to students.
• Collaborates with students’ home school district and related service providers.
• Develops and writes IEPs in collaboration with the students’ teams.
• Completes educational assessments.
• Gathers, reviews, and reports educational data.
• Assists with training staff members on educational goals, as necessary.
• Attends clinical meetings with Evoke Behavioral Health clinical team, as necessary.
• Attends IEP and BID meetings.
• Assists with de-escalation and behavior plan implementation, as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Special Education.
• Licensed by the CO Department of Education (or able to apply).
• Minimum 3 Years’ experience working with students diagnosed with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
• Minimum 3 Years’ experience developing and writing IEPs.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a state and federal background check.
• Ability to pass an occupational physical, implement the company's physical management system (Safety-Care), move freely up and down stairs, go from standing/squatting to standing, and lift 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Applied Behavior Analysis Experience
• Experience working with children with co-occurring diagnoses.
• Experience working with children diagnosed with ASD.
• Experience working with children who exhibit complex challenging behavior.

Evoke Behavioral Health is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services. This position does not fall under CDE. This is not a PERA eligible position.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
