Key Job Responsibilities

  • Knowledgeable in accounts payable (AP)/accounts receivable (AR) best practices
  • Must be proficient in processing invoices. Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
  • Pays vendor by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering information into the database
  • Ensures payroll is processed timely and accurately
  • Maintains employee confidentiality and protects payroll operations by keeping all sensitive information secure
  • Prepares monthly AR statements and sends them out in a timely manner
  • Processes accounts receivables and assigns them in the general ledger
  • Participate in monthly closing process
  • Assist in periodic reconciliation of general ledger

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field
  • 2 years of accounting experience (preferred)
  • Governmental Accounting experience (preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge/application in MS Office products
  • Knowledge of month end accounting close and financial controls
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional accuracy and attention to details
  • Communicate effectively with all team members
  • Strong team building skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
