Job Summary:

The APRN is responsible for providing primary care services to patients in an integrative healthcare family practice clinic. The APRN will work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including patients with substance use disorders
• Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
• Prescribe medication and other treatments as appropriate
• Perform minor procedures as needed
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Document patient visits and provide follow-up care as needed
• Follow clinic protocols and procedures
• Maintain patient records and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate
• Maintain documentation in electronic health records system in accordance with clinic best practices
• Participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications:

• Current APRN license in the state of Arkansas
• Board certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
• Current DEA License
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an APRN in a primary care setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent clinical judgement and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Physical Demands:

This position requires prolonged standing, sitting, and occasional walking, as well as use of a computer and phone.

This is an independent contractor position, allowing for a flexible schedule. 20-40 hours weekly preferred, part-time or full-time. Daytime or evening shifts available
