Location: Candidate must be located in Eastern Service Area
Travel required: Yes, 95 % of the time.

1. Position Summary

• Responsible for designing and planning civil engineering projects such as roads, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation systems, pipelines, and power plants.
• Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
• Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
• Responsible for coaching and reviewing the work for lower-level technical staff.
• Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
• Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
• Communicates with internal and client project team members.
• Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
• Ensure accuracy of design, products, and timeliness of project completion.

2. Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Produce clear and concise general and technical writing products and tactfully coordinate with a variety of project stake holders, peers and management levels.
• Maintain an electronic project folder (as required) related to site preparation and equipment installation problems.
• Provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding the closure of construction-related punch-list items.
• Conduct efficient, organized data gathering and data analysis.
• Develop project plans, establish project schedules, and project estimates.
• Discuss project-related items with stakeholders, contractors and code related.
• Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
• Work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Provide well-organized documentation.
• Work independently in a large engineering organization.

3. Selection Criteria

Education & Experience (Required Qualifications)

• Civil Engineering Degree from a 4-year ABET-accredited College/University and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 2 to 6 years of experience.
• Relevant experience should include designing shelter replacements, road improvements, roofing replacements, facility structural improvements, and facility modernization.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications, and be able to use the Internet as an information gathering and communication tool.
• Proficiency with AUTOCAD/ MICROSTATION
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
